Vogue India spotlights the most exciting art exhibitions opening across the country this July, from thought-provoking group shows to solo explorations in painting, photography, textiles, and design. The feature highlights how galleries in Mumbai, Delhi, and Kolkata are presenting fresh voices alongside rediscovered legacies, making July a vibrant month for India’s contemporary art scene.

Among them is A Glazed History: Badri Narayan & the Vitrum Studio at JNAF, which revives the story of Vitrum Studio founded by Jewish émigré Simon Lifschutz in Bombay. Known as India’s first studio for hand-painted ceramics and glass mosaics, Vitrum blurred the lines between art, design, and craft, while also becoming a platform for Badri Narayan’s enduring creative contributions.
